Watched my pizza being cooked. While enjoying live music. Ranks in my top 5 restaurants in all of Nova Scotia. Come to Mahone Bay just for this experience. Just make sure to make a reservation. This place can get busy.

The atmosphere of this place felt cozy. It felt like it was a place that the owners created based on what inspired them. The pizzas on the menu had more traditional options to more innovative ingredients. I ended up choosing the Buffalo Betty. It was cooked to perfection, the spiciness of the sauce was on point, and it went perfectly with the blue cheese, mozzarella, chicken, and green onion toppings. The staff was amazingly friendly, along with a couple of people jamming away, playing some live music. I definitely recommend this restaurant and will be making my way back to it in the future.

As always, Betty's at the Kitch never disappoints! The food, service and atmosphere are always a delight. We stopped here for lunch on a day trip on the South Shore and had tough decisions to make as everything is so yummy here. The staff were pleasant and friendly and even mentioned they were hosting a wedding that day so I can only imagine how busy they were... but you would never know it by the care and attention they gave us and other diners around us.

Absolutely delightful evening at Betty’s. First, the atmosphere is so inviting and the staff are all very attentive. We sat outside in a peaceful spot with seats made from swings and beautiful woods all around. Then there was a fantastic live fiddle band playing sea shanties and snappy tunes. The menu had charming names for the food and drink that make you smile. Betty was wandering around chatting with guests and insisting you try something new. Our waitress was so sweet and had excellent suggestions. We tried the flavorful meatball appetizer and two pizzas. Both pizzas were perfectly cooked. Not too doughy but not over crisp either. While we did not have it, the Thursday night seafood special menu seemed to be phenomenal. We could see them skillfully prepping the lobsters and plates. We did try the strawberry shortcake - which was to die for! Stop at Betty’s for good food and good folks.

Warm, Welcoming, and Delicious Betty’s at the Kitch in Mahone Bay is a true treasure. This cozy stone oven pizza and wine bar offers not just incredible food, but an atmosphere that feels like home. The pizza was fantastic—crisp crust, quality ingredients, and beautifully balanced flavors—but the real standout? The owners and staff. They’re warm, genuine, and go above and beyond to make you feel welcome. You can tell this place is built on passion, care, and community. The ambiance is relaxed yet refined—perfect for a date night or a casual evening out with friends. We had a fantastic experience at Betty’s at the Kitch. Our server Kathy made our night and went above and beyond for my girlfriend’s birthday and we really appreciated it. We had tried to sneak in the night before but they had just put out the pizza fire but believe me it is definitely worth the trip to this lovely restaurant. From the baked brie to the pizza and cheesecake I have nothing but praise for the staff. If you are in the area I would highly recommend this spot, of and make sure to make a reservation;)

This pizza is the stuff of legends. It's so good I'd drive an hour and twenty just to eat it. Our favs are the Meredith and Ford, but this time my partner got the Ham and Pineapple that was a one off on special. I love watching my pizza slowly crisp beside the burning logs. If you have a table close by it provides the perfect heat. I'd say this spot is perfect for a winter's evening. The staff are fantastic! They're always so accommodating and kind; and they make the atmosphere even more special. If you go it's worth taking a pizza back too; you're going to miss it once you're home! Go easy on the chilli oil, it creeps up on you and is not to be taken lightly.
